Overview
SubSignal scans top startup-focused subreddits daily, uses GROQ to filter each community down to its single most promising idea, then runs Gemini over the shortlist to validate market potential, feasibility, and competitive advantage. Ranked, formatted insights land straight in Discord — built for founders and indie hackers who want signal, not another feed to scroll.
Motivation
I wanted a way to filter startup-idea noise on Reddit down to the handful of posts actually worth a founder's attention, instead of scrolling ten subreddits a day.
Lessons Learned
A two-stage pipeline — a cheap filter, then an expensive validation pass — turned out to be much more cost-effective than running the expensive model over everything, since most posts get eliminated by the first pass alone.
