Overview
Joblyst scrapes local career pages and LinkedIn, matches postings against your CV with sentence-transformer embeddings, filters by location (e.g., Lahore or remote), and delivers curated daily job alerts to Discord — generating tailored cover letters on demand to speed up applications.
Motivation
Job hunting in Pakistan means checking a dozen scattered career pages by hand, so I built Joblyst to do that scanning and matching for me.
Lessons Learned
Scraper reliability was the real bottleneck, not the matching logic — sites change their markup often enough that the scraping layer needed far more maintenance and error handling than I initially budgeted for.
